It would be very helpful to have a workbook that has a list of vocabulary words and phrases that corresponds to those used in the audio lesson.A while back I was reading somewhere online (ok Forbes) that Less than 20 percent of American adults speak a language other than English. The vocabulary in the accompanying workbook has no relation to the words and phrases in the audio lessons to which they are supposed to be related. I find myself backing up frequently, not responding so that I can hear the correct response and using another source to determine if the sound begins with a P, a V, or a B. Also, there is very little time between the questions and the program saying the answers, so while I am forming and starting to say the response, the program starts the response that I am then unable to hear. It’s very frustrating when you are trying to repeat and have no idea if what you are saying is correct. In many cases it’s impossible to distinguish the sounds “pa”, “ba” and “va”. There is a warning in the introduction that the Pimsleur method is based on learning as a child would learn, by listening and repeating.
